Helpful Sand Hints

Sand sifts through sieves and funnels and works best in sand and water wheels if it is very DRY. However, sand molds best if it is damp. The right amount of water needed in order for sand to mold well can be found out by experimenting; add a little at a time until it packs well. If you need to dry sand out, you can spread it out thin on a tablecloth or shower curtain and let the sun do its work, or you can try using a blow dryer, but it could take a while.
