The play sand comes in heavy boxes- how are they shipped? We ship the boxes in heavy cardboard boxes via UPS or FedEx. Orders for multiple boxes may be shipped separately and we may at our option choose to use another shipper for orders exceeding fifty pounds.
What is your cancellation policy? An order may be cancelled up until the day before it ships. You will need to e-mail us at info@coloredplaysand.com to notify us. It may take up to one week to credit your card.
What is your returns policy? We're confident you'll be delighted with your purchase! However if you feel you must return an item, the following applies: We will accept packages for refunds which are in their original unopened packaging so they can be resold. Example: if you bought 25 pounds of play sand and wish to return it, we must receive 25 pounds of sand back in the original container, with no foreign material such as dirt or leaves. However, we DO NOT pay shipping for your returns. Returns for refunds must reach us no later than 25 days from the original date of order. A written request for refund must accompany the return, and a copy of your original order should be included. It may take up to a week to refund your card after receipt of your return. How often do you ship orders? Our warehouse ships once weekly ONLY!! Most of the year this is on Friday, but sometimes around certain holidays, the warehouse will ship on a Monday instead. Any other day of the week would mean international shipping charges would apply for US orders.
Is colored play sand safe? ABSOLUTELY! You can rub a handful of bright blue sand all over a new white tee shirt and it will brush right off! This sand is NOT suitable for industrial use, such as sand blasting, without the use of respirators, but it is PERFECTLY SAFE for playing! Sandtastik playsands and art sands comply with EN71 part 3:1994, the European Standard for purity of materials used in toys. All of our sand, both art and play sand, conforms to ASTMD-4236-94.
Is it safe to use my credit card to order from you? Absolutely- state of the art encryption technology is used to protect you!
Do you have a print catalog? Not at this time, and we don't have plans to create one - we've just found selling online to be very effective and convenient- both for us and our customers.
